Red Kite (Milvus milvus)
The Red Kite is a seldom bird of prey here in Austria, and I was able to take several pictures of it on my photography trip to eastern Austria together with Stefan. It is a very curious bird that observed us when we were walking with our Cameras and Lenses in the field where we actually wanted to take some pictures of the Imperial Eagle that was seen there some days before, but since the red kite is also a very nice bird we were not that disappointed.
The Red Kite is a very good Air Acrobat, and it is funny how good it can direct its flight direction with it's tail-feathers. Since it is a very curious bird you probably have enough time to take several times while it is checking you out. I am already looking forward to visiting this place again, probably this summer but depending gon the COVID-regulations maybe we have to postpone it to next year.
