Driving Ford F-350 With Steel Spike Wheels Experiment
It's is just wacky on how some dudes had fitted this Ford F-350 truck with some experimental wheels. First they had made some twenty foot wooden wheels but due to the size of the wheels the torque of the engine could not possibly move it forward if not with a help of another vehicle.
After that they fitted it with square wheels and the the truck just couldn't push through the dirt road because the square wheels just keeps on digging the soil. The experiment failed because it is a bad idea to fit square wheels anyways.
Then they put made use of a carriage wheels, the wheels used by carriages pulled by horses. It kind of worked but for sure it won't last after some distance covered because the wooden rims will not hold.
Finally they used steel spikes as a tire but it just kept on digging the soil. Al the spikes bent like it was plastic because of the forces made by the engine making the spikes dig and then give way making them bend until they get stuck in the mud and break the suspension system of the Ford F-350 truck.
It is just fun to see this experiment done in a way that it will satisfy curious minds of the people about the "what ifs" regarding fitting a car with insane wheel ideas from a horse-drawn carriage wheels, gigantic wooden wheels, square wheels, or even metal steel spike wheels and the results are entertaining.
