Looks are important to a lot of people and weight is something that bothers people. How much do you think about your weight and diet?

In case you don't know who I am here is my intro post from way back:

I used to think about it a lot.
I've always been a "big" girl. My whole life I've been bullied for being too tall. Being too heavy. I used to compensate by dressing outrageously. If people were going to pick on me, at least I can give them some other material besides how much I weigh, ya know?

My last two ex partners put a lot of emphasis on my weight. One simply said that I wasn't "physically attractive enough" and just "too big". The other lost weight and suddenly, he found me absolutely revolting.

I spent forever starving myself, trying different diets. I made myself sick more times than I could count. I lost so much weight and when that proved that it wasn't enough to satisfy these partners, I reverted back. Because... what was the point?

I am by no means obese to the point where I can't be active. I enjoy walking and riding bikes. I love to swim. Yeah, I am a bigger gal but I don't let that define me anymore.

I do still think about my weight and diet. I know I could be heathier. I know I could be more physically attractive. I certainly could eat better.

And I plan to do all of these things.

But I don't let them rule my every day and my own self-worth anymore. Which I think is pretty awesome!

Weight and diet have been hard subjects for me over the years, but since being with my partner (who I met on here) I found that it is okay to be comfortable just being myself. And if I need to change for me, he's cool with that, but I am loved just the way I am.

Which has really helped me realize that it is okay to love myself, even if I need improvement. (And to eat a damn salad once in a while)

I think about being a fatty pretty often, but not willing to change enough to make a difference. I eat salad and fruit quite often, but this just maintains my weight, and I've decided I'm fine with being a bit overweight as long as I'm not huge or type 2 diabetic.

I try to step on the scale a few times a week. I think it's healthy to at least know what that number is so I can make changes during the week if necessary!

A person can manage a healthy diet without him realizing it. That is, the diet has become a habit, needs and everyday lifestyle.


I am FAT since i am 24/7 on STEEMIT
But i love it haha

I don't think about my weight but yes I try to implement a better diet every day. I don't think about diet, I improve it day by day :)

I try to keep the weight eating little salt, little sugar and few fryings. I drink a lot of water and only natural juices.

Concerning my weight, I reduced by 2kg. From 50kg to 52kg due to stress. Concerning the diet I haven't been taking note of that .

With those SBD I buy something to eat and get fat AFTER THE DIET .. jjajaajajajajaja

In this life, there are three factors that can make our life balanced. The three factors are love, health and establishment. Love can love family, spouse or best friend. Then, people will feel happy if the health condition is good because it can enjoy life. For example can be free to go anywhere, or eat any food in accordance with the desired taste. Then, life will be more perfect if it has establishment or success. These three factors will make life happier.

I like diets very much, at the moment I am a fan of the paleo diet for all its benefits.

I don't care too much but many months ago i did some routines ans diets.

I obviously questioned my weight if my weight gain rose dramatically, it is not impossible to diet, so that the weight can be back to normal like ages.

I don´t think much about my weight because everybody says I´m skinny, but I´am always worried about eating healthy things, especially after sport.

Right now i think about my weight everyday because i'm trying to loose weight. This used to never be a problem but now that i'm older and my metabolism is slower, i have to watch what i eat everyday. I'm strictly on salads and fruits for the past couple weeks.

I do not think to diet even though weight gain drastically, it seems with diligent exercise, the condition of our body can be maintained properly.

I often think about it, I don't follow any diet, but I think I should if I want to lose some weight, but as I don't like restrictions very much, I look at myself and say: to eat my way and give myself my tastes, my figure is pretty good, hahahaha.

I think that the weight is not a disadvantage to achieve the things of life, but now i think that my weight if I have pasted a lot due to the breastfeeding process that led, in spite of a balanced diet.

I don’t think about my weight that much, but I do think about my poor diet regularly and how I can improve what I eat on a day to day basis. It’s tough when I don’t know the first thing about cooking!

LOL it's not usually until I try to put on a shirt or pair of pants that don't fit, or ocasionally when I look in the mirror.

It matter a lot because extra fat is the reason for almost 90 % health whether it is Heart Attack, Blood Pressure, Lipoma and Pain in Body etc.
That's why we should take care of our extra fat.

When you want to be like you are, you should not mind diets and your weight, but of course it's healthy to eat healthy and exercise. I love my body as it is.

The truth is that I do not worry about weight, I do not diet as such, but if I try to eat a little more to not get so skinny since I am a runner and I spend a lot of energy

I have been told by the doc to lose some weight to stay healthy. So currently i am watching my weight and what and how much is my intake. No hard and fast DIET as i love food and enjoy. So i still eat all my favourite food but quantity less. Hope my next check up, the doc is happy with my efforts of losing a few kilos over 6 months. Slow and steady but keep the momentum on going, that's my motto..thanks

To be honest I didn't care about that until my father died, he had a heart attack, so since then I started eating healthy and I even joined a gym, so, the thing is, that you don't have to do it because other people says so, you gotta do it for yourself. Thank you for reading.

Diet ain't a key influence for weight but GENE or BODY TYPE do matter. I am born to be thin even though I can consume a lot of foods but it didn't get me fat. fat do bothers people but thin too


I have a bad lifestyle, I'm an unhealthy person

I think about my weight and diet fairly regularly but not to the extent that I deprive myself from foods that I want to eat. I do not check and count for calories before I eat something but if it is obviously very fatty then I take a brake. I step into the scale few times in a month to check my weight. If it tells me that I am gaining more and going beyond the maximum weight that is proportional to my height then I again take a brake with my food intake. The good thing is that I do not worry about going below minimum weight that is proportional to my height.

In a nutshell, if someone does not have a medical condition that is related to gaining or losing weight then it should not be much of a worry.

My bottom line advice, be happy in your own skin as it is. 🙂

Some, but it is low on my priorities.

I think a lot! I think I'm a little thin, because of the lack of balanced nutrition. In Venezuela, we already consume less food than before. Very important things that were very common disappeared or drastically reduced consumption.

Could I eat better? Yes. Could I lose a few pounds? Yes. Do I care, not anymore. I am happy with me, no matter what.

I worry very little hehe I think I'm very good!

I used to take great care of my weight, I made many diets, which I regret today, due to the situation that my beloved Venezuela is going through. I do not worry anymore, I wish I had those extra kilos XD

I weigh 55 kgs, and for a height of 5'10'', its low. So yeah I daily think about ways to gain healthy weight in the form of muscle mass.

Well,as for me I think I need a controlled regimen of my intakes to gain weight, almost everyone I see recently utter out how lean I have become.
However I have never wanted my body to turn out becoming a fat storage but in this case, I need to adopt a little bit of my unwanted idea.

I am a dialysis patient. This means I really have to watch my diet and weight. Dialysis is not new to patients who are suffering of kidney failure. And because our kidneys are already not functioning well, the fluid that we intake do not exit or get out from our body. In fact, some of us cannot urinate already. As such, we have to consider our weight and water intake always. More water intake would lead us to fluid retention inside our body, which might drown us internally and/or cause infection. More water intake, this would include the food, would increase our weight. Ans the conversion would suggest that 1 kilogram gain is about 1 Liter of water.

ps: I experience a gain of 5kilos in just a span of four days (from my diet and because water cannot exit my body) and lose 4 kilos in a span of three hours (all from dialysis)
