Mohamed Salah Ghaly (born June 15, 1992, age 25) is an Egyptian football player who plays as a wing midfielder for English club Liverpool F.C. with a transfer value of £ 39 million from the U.S. Rome, and the Egyptian national team. He has also performed representing Egypt at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2012 Olympics. He won the Swiss Super League in his first season with Basel, and was awarded the Best Young African Player of the Year in 2012.
On June 9, 2013, Salah scored a hat-trick and helped Egypt win their fourth consecutive game in World Cup qualifying. In the next game, he scored the winning goal for Egypt. Salah then scored his sixth goal in a qualifying match for top scorer among all African teams in the qualifying round.
