Twelve Toplined players, One peaked player and One irresponsible manager (Story of England FC against Scotland)
Harry Kane's performance in the 2018 World Cup was shocking by taking England to the Semi Finals and getting the Golden Boot with 6 goals in the tournament. His performance against Croatia on Sunday and Scotland on Friday for Euro 2020 makes people relies is he right to captain England who are facing elimination or heading to the Round of 16. With his contract with Tottenham completely unknown at this stage has unsettled him at the moment.
Gareth Southgate has been though a lot for England as a player and as a manager, from missing a goal as a player which could have beaten Germany and put England into the Euro 1996 Final to getting England to the 2018 World Cup semi Finals. The bold decisions to put players on when others would not do today has been his main trademark, I think putting Harry Kane on the starting 11 today after his poor performance against Croatia on Sunday has shown Kane is not good enough. I also think Phil Foden getting replaced by Jack Grealish at 63 minutes has shown how much England are lacking in play. Southgate has enormous experience as a player and as a manager but I think he should have a open plan to overhaul the team for Tuesday's match against the Czech Republic and for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The performance of the players were ok but was not as great as everyone had hoped but it's shown Southgate's weaknesses as you can't win matches with pensioners managing the team and it has shown with England. The only Player that as impressed me from England so far has been Raheem Sterling.
