The Best Of E3 2018 - Part Two

Time for round two of the best games from E3, and I'm pretty excited about some of these.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo was held last week and for those of you who don't know, it is the biggest annul gaming expo in the world. Basically it is the showcase for the hardware manufacturers, software developers, and publishers from the video game industry presenting new and upcoming products to the public. Yes, this is what we gaming nerds look forward to all year, just to get a glimpse of what we can expect to come in the near future. Each year the attendance just get bigger and bigger, this year they had about 70,000 people attend the expo in Los Angeles, not to mention being streamed live over multiple online platforms with millions watching at home. Below is a short list of the top developers who have conferences a day or two before the even to showcase their best and brightest.

  • Electronic Arts
  • Microsoft XBox
  • Bethesda
  • Square Enix
  • Ubisoft
  • Sony PlayStation
  • Nintendo

I have decided to break from my usual game review format to give you guys a little sneak peek of some of my favorite picks from E3. I would also like to emphasize that these are my personal top picks, the games I thought stood out the most and which intrigued me, so there might be a few I am not going to mention. Also due to there being such a huge amount of epic games that were mentioned in the conferences, I will be doing a two part series for this. The first part of this series, which I wrote about last week was of the more interesting games at E3, but these are the games I can't wait to get my hands on. There are some pretty amazing titles and a few you have most probably seen or mentioned before.

Beyond Good & Evil 2

Fans have been waiting for what feels like almost forever for Ubisoft’s long-in-development Beyond Good & Evil 2, which is actually a prequel to the 2003 cult classic. Last year at E3 it was announced and this year it made another appearance with an epic new cinematic trailer, along with a really short demo of gameplay footage. What we do know is that the much loved characters Jade and Pey’j from the original game will be making a return in this game. There’s not much to go on other than what they showed and certainly no release date as of yet. Hopefully Ubisoft’s final game can even come close to matching the scale of the trailers, we could be in for something spectacular but we just need to keep being patient for the time being. We speculate that the game will be launched on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as nothing as been confirmed.

Spider-Man

There is only just over two more months of waiting left for the highly anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man game, which is being developed by the folks at Insomniac Games. This is finally Marvel's chance to bring the fans a great super hero game that is able to compete with DC's Batman Arkham Knight series. We got a much closer look at the gameplay, and how the combat and web-swinging will mesh together to bring the superhero to life. Insomniac is also bringing us a brand new story for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, which is not tied to the comic books or any of the films or multiple reboots. We can expect this to hit the shelves by 7 September 2018.

Anthem

A game where you get to be Tony Stark, sign me up right now. This armored-suit open world, massively multiplayer action role playing game looks gorgeous, with stunning open space environments for players to explore with their Iron Man styled suits. This was the very first game review I wrote on the Steemit blockchain for Adsactly blog over seven months ago, and I feel I've been improving ever since. Anthem is only set for release in February next year 2019, yes we have been waiting for this bad boy for a really long time. We got to have a really in depth look at the more intricate parts of the game, like joining gameplay with friends and a great run down of the four different kinds of Javelin exosuit you can choose from, which makes things a lot more versatile depending on what missions you need to complete. The suits and all accompanying gear, weapons, and equipment, can be extensively customized and personalized to suit each player. Anthem will be available across all platforms, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Cyberpunk 2077

After years of waiting, award winning Witcher developer CD Projekt Red has finally released another look at its highly anticipated upcoming science fiction game, Cyberpunk 2077. There has to date been no actual gameplay, which is what everyone at E3 was hoping for, but the trailer shows the gorgeous futuristic metropolis of Night City, that will be the setting of the game. We’re also introduced to the customizable, robot looking player character named V, a hired gun or futuristic detective. Cyberpunk 2077 was originally announced in May 2012 and the first teaser trailer was released a year later, which actually won an award for best video trailer. The developer seem to be looking at a release date of just before Christmas of 2018, and will be available across all platforms.

Ghost of Tsushima

The Infamous series developer, Sucker Punch finally gave us some much awaited gameplay from their latest production, which was reveled last year at E3, Ghost of Tsushima. They showed off some gorgeous looking combat and stealth mechanics which is set in a stunning environment, the hills and forests of old Japan. The game really looks amazing from what we have seen so far, it made me think of the first Anime I ever watched, Ninja Scroll. I love the whole idea of a lone samurai with only his trusty katana in hand on a journey of honor. This is going to be a PlayStation exclusive title by the looks of it, and unfortunately there has been no word of a release date, but hopefully later next year. I am definitely looking forward to this Ghost of Tsushima, and will be pre-ordering it.

The Last of Us Part II

Naughty Dog’s acclaimed series is back with an in depth extended look at the upcoming sequel to The Last of Us. This game is what Sony opened with at their E3 conference, I was a little shocked when I saw that they had hired, what looked like a small school hall for the presentation. Turns out this was all done to draw the crowd present at the conference into the game, when the trailer starts, it is set in an almost identical small hall. The demo is seriously impressive, and it gives players a look at how stealth and survival will blend together in what was an incredible cinematic experience. Players step back into the shoes of Ellie, who was the main playable character in the last game. The developer have seriously push the capabilities what games can do with this one, the opening trailer cinematic scene is probably the most realistic I have ever seen in a game. This was most definitely the best game from all of E3, and this is another PlayStation exclusive with no release date that I am aware of.

Cyberpunk 2077
The artistic direction and the atmosphere of the game will be just crazy. A universe Blade Runner / Hotline Miami, implants Deus Ex, android way Detroit: Become Human, and especially punkettes sexy Hellfest. Add to that a zest of synthwave / darksynth, and it gives an explosive cocktail while waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI. : Drool:

It deserves quite its place as the best PC game and E3 2018.

Hahaha I could definitely not have said it any better, something tell me you're pretty excited for Cyberpunk 2077. I really wanted to include The Elder Scrolls VI, but there really wasn't much there to go with, it's basically just an announcement it's coming. I'm still very much looking forward to it.

Wow dear friend @morkrock your review is outstanding I prefer the top one The Beyond Good & Evil 2 by Ubisoft is really marvellous presentation of their idea and vision maybe this game will blow our mind because the trailer was absolutely mind blowing actually it's an amazing experience to see that how the game industry is totally changed and outperformed the vision of its future.
Although spidy doing some pretty shots with scorpion and the rhino but which thrilled me personally the top one and I love to see more detailed review of comes in near future by you as it's mindblowing really dear friend.
Now I am in your fan following, good luck for your bright future here in an amazing community of artists, gamer and music lovers maybe one day this amazing community will be forerunner and most trusted by the pioneers of the tech and gaming industry.
I really enjoyed the trailers but big thumbs up for the UBISOFT.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 looks super cool and interesing.
I'm really exited to see what they're gonna do with the collaboration with HITrecord (Joseph Gordon-Levitts company) https://hitrecord.org/productions/3502858

But one thing that makes me a little apprehensive:
It looks to be nothing like the first game.

That doesn't necessarily make it bad, but we have nothing to compare it to.
Plus I kinda wanted another game like the first one.

That wasn't gameplay, that was a trailer showing new "gameplay" elements like dodging, going under vehicles, cocking back guns (maybe), pulling arrows from bodies etc...don't forget The Last of Us E3 2012 "gameplay" were everything was almost different from the finished product. BUT this game is still the front runner for game of the decade most definitely.

I don't know... that looked like gameplay to me, maybe I'm more hoping it will be actual gameplay. You're right on last time, let's hope they not doing the same.

I like it when the game doesn't give you any chance how to deal with your enemies.. Like the enemies know how to find her.. It's like you're in a real situation and put you in a situation how are you gonna deal with that.. Man I have so many things to say about this post and how amazing it is

The enemy AI looks like it has gotten some epic upgrades, let's hope this is what it will actually be like in the game, and is not just for the sake of the trailer.

it was a nice reviewing . i hope the game will be more interesting .

thank you for shearing a nice content.

really asowme game & great entertainment way

Thank you for sharing for us

yes it is interesting game for me also and soon i will try this. These days i am playing PUBG mobile game which is famous among world, u can also try it if you are not yet part of this game.

It seems to be amazing... I wanna test. @adsactly

Really interesting, especially because I'm passionate about video games, innovation in the entertainment industry surprises every day with projects like this, and I take note of the ones I want to download on my PC to play with my friends, the one I hope with Ancias is Anthem, The Last of Us, and the favor of my character Spider-Man
The reviews and the description of friend @adsactly games are appropriate, at least I am excited waiting for the moment to begin a stage of discovery and fun with my playmates.

nice game intresting

HERE IS MY OPINION ON BOTH CONFERENCES: Microsoft was straight forward and organized, many games, few interesting but most are normal or less than normal. Sony was a little messy (although the tent was cool, and the place outside), not many games but most are pretty fucking good (I almost cried a little during the last of us part 2's gameplay) again, it's my opinion... feel free to disagree without shooting me :^)

I actually missed Ghost of Toshima. Game looks great, the gameplay kinda reminds me of the Batman Arkham Series. Since the success of Batman Arkham Asylum, that kind of action gameplay has been copied in quite a few ways.

Still can't believe to have seen news on Cyberpunk 77. I was actually starting to believe that the game wouldn't make it's debut until the year 2077.

I haven't played the first beyond good and evil, but the trailers I have seen so far really make me want to change that up.

Hahaha, yeah we have been waiting on Cyberpunk for very long now, but so far it looks like its has been worth the wait. I gonna get my hands on Beyond Good and Evil pretty soon, seems like a awesome title, and wanna give it a go before the second one comes out.

Overall, this year really has been great gaming wise I must say. Not owning a PS4 myself, I have watched some of the more story centered games than having played them myself. That being said, Detroid Become Human and God of War so far have been awesome and gaming news like these create good hype for the years to come.

Especially after EA almost ruined the industry with their bullshit statement that single player story heavy games do not sell, this year so far has been pleasant.

You are really so great [email protected] sir.
Thank for sharing this blog..

Any opinion on Madden returning to PC for the first time in 11 years? PC gaming has grown leaps and bounds since Madden left, and a part of me is hoping that sales for Madden 19 on PC are strong so EA will realize what it's been missing out on and bring other games to PC (I would love for NHL to be back on PC).

What a nice e reviews of games by adsactly!
Pls how do I get this games,I'm willing to play almost all of them because I know it will be far interesting

Game is one of the most entertaining things I like. I'm very sure that game of Ghost of Tsushima is going to be amazing. I would like to check it out. Thanks for sharing @adsactly

A huge number of games released where survival first person shooters. It's starting to get old.
