Ladybug - Henosepilachna argus
This hairy ladybug is one of the largest you can meet. It is found on the bryony on which it feeds.
It is orange-red in color with eleven points.
She could be confused with other species if she were not the only ladybug whose elytra are furnished with very fine, short and dense hairs. They're invisible without a magnifying glass or microscope, but they give this ladybug a matte to fluffy appearance, while all others of this size have smooth, shiny elytra. (In northwestern Europe only very small ladybugs are also hairy).
