New Covenant sealed with Jesus’ Blood
As it was in the Old Testament, it was only the Priest that entered the Holy of Holies just once every year. He would make atonement for himself, family and the nation. As instructed by God, the Chief Priest will sprinkle blood of the sacrifice seven times before he could enter the Holy of Holies, which is the presence of God. While he was doing this, the entire congregation of Israel will stay outside till he finished.
Now we have access to the presence of God through Jesus’ death on the Cross. He breathed His last breath at around 3pm on the day He died and sacrifice Himself as the Passover Lamb. When He died, the way into the Holy of Holies was made open to everyone through the blood of Jesus Christ when the curtain of the temple was torn into two. We all now have direct access to God with no hindrance if we go through Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
God does not tolerate sin and that is shown by the death of Jesus Christ. If our fellowship with God must be maintained, we must put away our sin which is awful in the sight of God. The death of Jesus Christ was the seal of the New Covenant. We can boldly approach God’s throne of grace by the blood.
Hebrews 12:14 KJV
Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Jesus Christ gives us direct access to God. I will want you all to think about those things that can threaten your relationship with God. The bible says that we should flee from all appearances of evil, so that we can enjoy our privilege in Christ Jesus. I pray the Lord will help us not to abuse the grace of access to His presence. Amen.
