It is a small experiment in creativity, you choose a word, search a free resource site for the image or photograph that results in a list, and then write a short narrative about it.
For this occasion the word was chosen: Birds
I remember when my parents gave me some little ducklings to take care of them.
Now that I'm a little older, I'm not sure if my parents really had it in their heads to teach me responsibility, by putting little living beings in my care or they were trying to make me learn about how fragile and delicate life is, because it was almost certain that most of my little yellow friends were not going to reach adulthood.
Either way, I know I took care of them the best I could and in truth, my parents were the ones who worked on it more than I did, but they gave me care tasks to keep them fed, change their water and clean their waste daily. .
Certainly, several did not grow, but those that became large, it turns out, were female, so they laid eggs and I remember they were very good flavor.
It was funny to me that every time I bathed the ducklings, when they were removed from the water, the first thing they moved was their tail and then they shook their wings to shake the water, just after that I dried them with a soft cloth.
Today I can remember those things fondly, although growing up in a rural area, you always understand that you are not raising pets but sources of food. As far as I know, that is considered very cruel in cities and many girls would have been traumatized.
I am not stronger or less sensitive, simply that the world I live in is different. I recently found out that one of my new friends is a vegetarian, well, it is better that I never tell her about these memories if I want to keep her friendship, after all, she is so closed-minded that she calmly assures that her way of being in the world is the only correct one and that everyone should follow suit.
