Ginger also has anti-cancer properties. Latest research found that the functional components of ginger like shogaol, paradols and gingerols can prevent various types of cancer and its extract has chemopreventive properties. Its bioactive molecules are very effective in preventing the effects of various types of cancers like gastric, liver, skin, ovarian and prostate cancers.

Fresh ginger has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties due to gingerols, which is pungent component of the ginger. It decreases the inflammation of the body and also strengthens its defense mechanism by increasing the production of antioxidant enzyme. It helps to balance the production of free radicles in the body. According to some studies, ginger has potential to stop the development of cognitive degeneration like Alzheimer’s disease.

Ginger can also treat the diabetics. According to study done in 2015, ginger can significantly help in decreasing the blood glucose level, and can decrease insulin and cholesterol levels. Ginger also helps to decrease the risks of heart disease or of some secondary chronic diseases.

It also solves our digestive problems. It is used in treatment of upset stomach, constipation and abdominal pain. It is also best known to relieve the symptoms of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. We should therefore incorporate the ginger in our daily diet.

Greetings dear, good article are many benefits that can be attributed to ginger, well an anecdote with my son who is asthmatic we have noticed that when he has the crisis and we provide fresh ginger is controlled a little, possibly that is why you mention that you have anti-inflammatory properties.

Here in Brazil ginger is very popular in the treatment of respiratory discomfort and throat irritation.

I have a friend who always complains about proper indigestion I will tell her to try including hunger in her diet, great post.
