Brujita / Witch Amigurumi
Greetings! Halloween is getting closer every day that is why I could not resist the temptation to make an amigurumi witch, for this I used acrylic yarn and crochet # 4 (1.25mm), the result was a beautiful 12.5 cm tall witch. Here I share the whole procedure and my enthusiasm for this date. I hope you like it.
Zapatos / Shoes
To make the toe of the shoe pointed, I started by knitting 4 single crochets in a ring, made 2 increases for three rounds until I got 10 stitches, I knitted four rows without increases, filled with fiber, knitted 5 decreases and closed with slip stitches. I picked up 12 single crochets at the top, and worked a round taking only the front side of the stitches. I closed with slip stitch.
Piernas y el torso / Legs and torso
For the legs, I picked up 10 stitches on the inner side of the shoe and knitted nine rows between black and orange. To join the legs I knitted nine rows of single crochets with black yarn, I knitted two decreases by four rows until I got 12 stitches, and I knitted a row of 12 stitches, closed with a slip stitch and left a long strand to sew. I filled with fiber.
Brazos / Arms
To make the arms, I started with black yarn by knitting 6 single crochets in a ring, I knitted an increase for two rounds until I got 8 stitches, I knitted 9 rows without increases, taking only the front side of the stitches I knitted 8 double increases until I got 24 points , I knit a round without increases, I knit a round with orange thread, I closed with 1 slip stitch. Apart with beige thread, I knitted 8 single crochets in a ring, knitted four rows without increases and closed with slip stitch. I filled the two parts with fiber and joined them with a seam.
Vestido / Dress
To make the dress I started by making the yoke with green yarn, I knitted 16 chains and joined them to form a circle, I knitted two rows of high crochets making 4 increases per row until obtaining 24 stitches. I made the armholes by knitting 6 chains and skipping 3 stitches on each side. I knitted four rounds of a fan stitch, changed to purple yarn and wove one round of slip stitches.
Cabeza / Head
For the head I worked 6 single crochets in a ring, I worked six increases for five rounds until obtaining 36 stitches, I worked seven rows without increases, I worked six decreases for four rows until obtaining 12, closed with slip stitch and left a long strand to sew. I filled with fiber and sewed the head to the body.
Cabello / Hair
For the hair with purple yarn I knitted 6 single crochets in a ring, I knitted six increases for five rounds until obtaining 36 stitches, I knitted five rows without increases, I knitted the bangs and finished the row with single crochets, I closed with 1 slip stitch and left one long thread for sewing. I sewed the hair to the head.
To make curly hair I wove 35 chains, I wove 3 stitches together on each chain. I repeated the procedure until I made 3 curls for each side of the head. I sewed the curls to the head.
Sombrero / Hat
To make the black hat, I crocheted 4 single crochets in a ring, on the first round I crocheted 1 single crochet and 1 increase repeatedly until I got 6 stitches, I crocheted 3 increases for ten rounds until I got 36 stitches. Taking only the front side of the stitches I worked 2 single crochets and 1 increase repeatedly until I got 48 stitches. I worked 12 increases for two rounds until I got 72 stitches. I closed with 1 slip stitch and left a long strand to sew.
Calabazas / Pumpkins
With orange thread I knitted six single crochets in a ring, on the next round I knitted 1 double increase, 2 single crochets, 1 double increase, 2 single crochets, closed with 1 slip stitch and left a long strand to sew. I embroidered the face with thread and sewing water. For the stem with green thread, I raised a stitch, I wove a chain and made a single crochet in the first stitch, closed with a slip stitch and hid the strand. I made 4 pumpkins and sewed them to the hat.
Escoba / Broom
For the broom with beige thread I knitted 6 single crochets in a ring, knitted 3 increases for two rounds until I got 12 stitches. I knitted four rows without increases. I filled with fiber. Taking only the back side of the stitches I knitted 6 decreases, closed with 1 slip stitch, hid the strand inside the fabric and knotted strands of beige yarn. For the broomstick with brown thread I worked 4 single crochets in a ring, I worked 16 rounds without increases, I worked 1 single crochet, 1 increase, 1 single crochet and 1 increase to get 6 stitches, I closed with 1 slip stitch. I inserted a wooden toothpick inside the fabric and sewed the broomstick.
Detalles / Details
The ears were made with beige thread, I picked up 1 stitch and knitted 3 treble crochets together in the next stitch, I made 1 slip stitch in the next stitch to close, I hid the strand inside the head. I embroidered the eyes with thread and a sewing needle. I sewed two black plastic pearls on the ears. I embroidered the buckles of the shoes with gray thread.
