Why was Maniare Pakistan created?
Every city has some or the other place which later becomes the identity not only of this city but also of this country like the stacho of liberty in USA, the tower bridge in London and the mausoleum of Quaid in Karachi and thus the minaret of Pakistan in Lahore. Which has become the biggest identity of Lahore today. Most people come from abroad to see Maniare Pakistan.
Maniare pakistan was built on the spot where Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah raised his voice for his freedom on March 23, 1940. At that time, Munyar was not Pakistan but Manto Park and then it was renamed as Iqbal Park. The name of the park is Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park. The park was built to commemorate the Tehreek-e-Pakistan. The minaret was designed by Naseeruddin Murad Zan. Due to financial difficulties, he did not collect his fee which was Rs 2.5 lakh.
When did Maniare Pakistan begin and end?
The maniare of Pakistan was laid on March 23, 1960. It took about eight and a half years to build the minaret. The construction of the minaret was completed on October 21, 1968. The construction of the minaret cost Rs. 7.5 million at that time.
What were the difficulties in making Maniare Pakistan?
The cost of building the Maniar Pakistan was borne by the increase in horse racing and Sanmia tickets.
What is written on the very bottom of the minaret?
This minaret is a symbol of Tehreek-e-Pakistan so it was first named Yadgar Pakistan and then it was named Yadgarqrad Pakistan and the car was named Minar Pakistan. This minaret consists of four platforms. Decorated in Mar Mar with Quranic verses of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal and a brief history of Pakistan's independence. The height of this minaret is 203 feet.
The masjid was built by King Aurangzeb Alamgir. He was a very pious man Aurangzeb Alamgir spent most of his time reciting the Qur'an and sewing hats. Aurangzeb Alamgir never missed a prayer and was kind to everyone. Order to build this mosque in 1671 AD He ordered the construction of this mosque under the responsibility of his younger half-brother Muzaffar Hussain and now the construction of the mosque has been completed under his chairmanship.
Right in front of the masjid is a large mausoleum decorated with white and reddish stone with a white marble dome.
The room above the entrance of the mosque contains some of the most important items of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and it is said that Amir Timur had now brought the items.
The prayer hall is kept high from the courtyard of this mosque. 60,000 worshipers can pray here at a time. It consists of high arches and three large marble domes. The domes are beautifully made of marble. The middle dome is larger than the rest of the domes. It is about 73 feet high. Its dome is covered with a layer of golden brass. In summer, part of its floor stays cool because it uses a special type of mound. When an earthquake struck in 1846, the minarets of the mosque were severely damaged.
And in this day and age, this minaret shines very brightly and presents a beautiful and charming landscape. The entire Masjid badShahi Masjid is still a great example of the Mughal era.
