How To Create A Better Life And Live Your American Dream
One of my favorite books is "Can't Buy Happiness" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. He had a great insight into the condition of our nation and our society, but also had an optimistic attitude towards the future. His words of wisdom, as well as his books, can be applied to us in our daily lives today as we strive for that "happiness which cannot buy happiness."
One of the major reasons we struggle to find happiness is because we spend so much time worrying about what isn't going right. Emerson said it is the "fear of what is to be lost that keeps man down". I agree with Emerson when he says it is very important to concentrate on the good things happening around you rather than dwelling on the bad things. The first step is to realize that you are happy with the things that you have rather than the things that are not going your way.
If you keep this perspective on your life, you will soon start to notice the simple words that you use every day and in everyday situations. It's easy to lose focus on the "what" when you are constantly focused on the "how".
When you start to miss some of the daily grind, such as when you are stuck in traffic, at home during the cold weather, or when you have a hard time getting your homework ready in time for school. If you are constantly focusing on how it is not going your way, it is very possible to forget what is really important to you.
As you get closer to the end of the day, you need to start focusing on the daily tasks that you are completing and the good things that you are experiencing. It is a natural thing to get caught up in the "I can not do that" thoughts. If you just continue to dwell on those things that are not going your way you will never accomplish anything. You should not be afraid of letting go of things that are not going your way.
One of the main reasons why most people fail at achieving happiness is because they do not know what to look for in their daily routine. When you are living the American Dream, you need to live life to the fullest. Living life to the fullest requires you to focus on what you want. as well as what you don't want.
The more you focus on what is important to you, the more happiness that you will find in your daily activities. So do not let your mind wander from one thought to the next. focus on the things that make you feel good, even if they are smaller. When you start to feel good, you will be able to do all sorts of things.
I have found that if I concentrate on what makes me feel good I can achieve all of the American Dream goals. So as long as you find your happy place, you can find what gives you happiness. You just have to take the first step to reaching your happiness. Remember this always.
Everyday you can start doing something new. If you have a hobby, start taking a class, or do something that you love so that you can feel good about doing it.
Just think about your happy place, where you feel good. It is up to you to keep that place in your life. Once you find your happy place, you can then use your mind to turn it into a happier place.
So go ahead and put the happiness into your life today and turn it into an American Dream! !
