A Peek at the Activities of Residents Quarantined in the Ex-Rohingya Shelter

Ex-Rohingya Shelter in Blang Adoe Village, Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh, Aceh Province, Indonesia is now used as a place to accommodate people with status of People in Monitoring (ODP Indonesia) Corona Virus 2019 (Covid-19).
The residence began to function after it was inaugurated on August 12, 2015 by the Deputy Governor of Aceh. However, the shelter returned to an empty place after all Rohingya tribes were moved to Canada and the United States four years ago, or remained on December 20, 2016.

However, now this residence is returning to the city with North Aceh returning from out of town and outside Aceh Province. However, not many, only nine people. Despite returning from the corona pandemic area that came sailing.

In that place has 38 dwellings, with each occupancy 4 rooms. Of the nine residents quarantined, five were approved to have passed 14 days or had passed the quarantine period, so they had returned to communicate with livestock.

While four more until Wednesday (4/28/2020) are still waiting for the quarantine period in the Blang Adoe Village area of Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh. Entering the month of Ramadan their activities as usual. Every morning they change the way of healthy exercise by military officers.

Then after healthy exercise, then they are invited to bask in the sun in the morning. Then they returned to the house or barracks. At night, they perform worship activities in their respective rooms.

Eks Shelter Rohingya di Desa Blang Adoe Kecamatan Kuta Makmur, Aceh Utara Provinsi Aceh, Indonesia kini dimanfaatkan sebagai tempat untuk menampung warga yang bertatus Orang Dalam Pemantauan (Indonesia ODP) Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Shelter tersebut mulai difungsikan setelah diresmikan pada 12 Agustus 2015 oleh Wakil Gubernur Aceh. Namun, Shelter tersebut kembali kosong setelah semua etnis Rohingya dipindahkan ke Kanada dan Amerika Serikat empat tahun lalu, atau persisnya pada 20 Desember 2016.
Namun, kini Shelter tersebut kembali terisi dengan warga Aceh Utara yang pulang dari luar negeri dan luar Provinsi Aceh. Namun, tidak banyak, baru sembilan orang. Kendati yang pulang dari daerah pandemi corona mencapai ribuan.

Pada tempat tersebut memiliki 38 tempat hunian, dengan tiap hunian 4 kamar. Dari sembilan warga yang dikarantina, lima diantaranya sudah melewati 14 hari atau sudah melewati masa karantina, sehingga sudah dikembalikan lagi untuk berkumpul bersama keluarganya.
Sedangkan empat lagi hingga Rabu (28/4/2020) masih menjalani masa karantina di Shelter kawasan Desa Blang Adoe Kecamatan Kuta Makmur, Aceh Utara. Memasuki bulan ramadhan aktivitas mereka seperti biasa. Tiap pagi mereka diajarkan cara senam sehat oleh petugas militer.

Kemudian setelah senam sehat, kemudian mereka diajak berjemur dibawah sinaran matahari pagi. Lalu mereka kembali ke rumah atau barak. Pada malam hari, mereka melaksanakan aktivitas ibadah sendiri di kamarnya masing-masing.

Mulai dari buka puasa, shalat magrib, kemudian tarawih dan juga tadarus dan diakhiri dengan sahur. Hanya sesekali mereka mengobrol dari jarak jauh dengan teman-temannya itu. Saat pertama menjalani karantina memang terasa berat, tapi setelah beberapa hari mereka mulai terbiasa.
