Ripple Named as the Fourth Most Valued VC-Backed Fintech Unicorn Around the World

According to CB Insights San Francisco-based Ripple, with its $10 billion valuations, is behind only San Francisco-based Stripe, Shanghai-based Lufax, and India-based Paytm One97 which are valued at $36 billion, $39.4 billion, and $16 billion respectively. Late last year, Ripple raised $200 million in a Series C funding round, spearheaded by SBI Group, Tetragon, and Route 66 Ventures. Binance Awards $200K to Investigators who identified phishing campaign attackers

Recently, the U.S. Department of Justice revealed its indictment of two people who were responsible for an attempted hack on our exchange in March 2018. In an official announcement today, cryptocurrency exchange Binance, said it has awarded the promised bounty of $200,000 to certain private investigators, who remain unnamed, for compiling a report that identified one of the alleged attackers and provided information on the specifics of the attack. World Economic Forum Calls Blockchain Key to Sustainable Digital Finance

UBS executive Karin Oertli lists blockchain technology along with artificial intelligence, mobile platforms, and the Internet of Things as being the cornerstones of digital finance. Oertli writes: “We believe that sustainable digital finance will play an essential role in efficiently channeling this capital to fuel innovation, growth and job creation, at the same time supporting the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.” Oertli also touted blockchain as a “digital enabler for sustainable finance” and carbon reduction. Bitcoin Hashrate Jumps as Asian Miners Bring Machines Back Online

Bitcoin’s hashrate bounced 30% Wednesday from quarterly lows on Nov. 2 as miners brought ASIC machines back online after relocating them out of China’s Sichuan province as the wet season ended in late October. A “large percentage” of all machines taken offline through the end of October are back online, said Alejandro De La Torre, vice president at Poolin. “There are, of course, some that may take longer,” he added, but most of the relocation process – typically a brief two-week period – is finished. Portfolio manager Dan Weiskopf has a win/win plan for a fitting marriage between tech’s biggest giant and Bitcoin, which has been endorsed by Michael Saylor. Apple should invest a portion of its massive cash reserves in Bitcoin, Toroso Investments’ portfolio manager Dan Weiskopf posted earlier today on the ETF Think Tank website. Saylor retweeted and endorsed Weiskopf’s piece with the comment that the tech giant could see a $100 billion gain in market cap by integrating Bitcoin with their products and adding it to their holdings. Bitcoin Surpassed $16,000 Mark As It Heads Toward $20,000

Bitcoin's price is now up 4% in the last 24 hours and 11% in the last week. The move ended a week of consolidation in the range of $14,000 to $16,000. Number of Bitcoin Wallets with 10,000+ Bitcoin Hits 2020 High

Analytics agency Santiment has shared data that shows cryptocurrency whales are still confident in their digital assets and in Bitcoin in particular. According to Santiment number of addresses with 10,000+ BTC hits a yearly high. According to the chart shared by the analytics firm, the number of wallets containing at least 10,000 BTC ($159,329,000 at the current BTC rate of $15,862 per coin), has hit a 2020 high of 111. World's Second Largest Bank Issues Bonds Tradable For Bitcoin

China Construction Bank (CCB) has tapped Hong Kong-based digital asset exchange Fusang for the issuance of $3 billion worth of debt securities over a blockchain. Tokenized bond certificates will be issued through the state-owned bank’s Labuan, Malaysia, branch over a period of three months.
