„SpotShot“ - A new Social Media Platform
Hi, my name is Salim and I am the COO of SpotShot, a Berlin based company that is developing a new social media platform that lets you create and take part in all kind of interesting challenges. I have the honor of writing our first official post! We are new on Steemit and I‘d love to take this opportunity to introduce SpotShot to you. Do you want to know what challenges I am talking about? What does this have to do with Steemit and the crypto space? In the following weeks you will get insights into our project from varying member of our team. Each one of them will have a different point of view which will make things interesting.
SpotShot is a platform that uses challenges to create new and unique experiences that connect people. On Spotshot challenges are the new posts! We wanted to create a place where people could easily create and take part in fun challenges. For users this means a community built around a challenges. For companies it means low marketing costs, high customer engagement and a boost in brand penetration as they will also be able to create challenges with rewards.
Today the advertising market is more competitive than ever before. Brands and companies will spend over $640 billion for advertising in 2018. Peoples attention is a resource and its limited. This is why new formats of marketing are needed to win peoples interest. Formats that create a customer experience rather then simply selling a product or service.
At the same time new media formats are needed to let the engagement of communities thrive. Engagement is hard to measure, and involves several distinct factors, like visibility, emotional involvement, tendency to interact, and shareability. Put simply, it’s your ability to connect with followers. In a survey of more than 2,500 micro-influencers (mid-sized social media users with a large following of daily engaged users), 60 percent thought Instagram was the best overall platform for engagement. The runner-up, Facebook, only gathered a support of 18 percent. 87 percent of the influencers believe that there might be more possibilities to enable higher engagement than current platforms allow.
SpotShot provides the ecosystem to build community experiences, track engagement and reward followers and participants on one platform. All this in an intuitive way, efficient and low priced. Our mission is to provide a tool that lets people interact with what they love and with people who share their interests. Thus SpotShot is unleashing the power of communities.
When we talk about "content marketing," we mean the creation of storytelling challenges that attract viewers to a brand. Content marketing is not an ad on a billboard or a one-page spread in a magazine. It doesn't have to be a commercial on cable television or the 28 annoying seconds before the start of the next YouTube hit.
