@rinawonderlans Asian Sunday entry:

I woke up to see a sunrise, and luckily there is also a little rainbow over the sky, which is rare to see here. It's beautiful eventhought it's not a full one. The colorful sky, give a reflection color to the sea and sand. I took this pretty picture in Candidasa beach, a relaxed spot on the east Bali where you could snorkel.

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

Queenstown is a cute little town located on the south island of New Zealand. It build on the raffle of a gigantic lake and surrounded by the mountains. Here is a capture I shot while wandering around the lake. This man was sitting on the small pierre, chilling by the water under the branches of the tree. I wasn't going to Disturbed, so I waited patiently for him to stand up and leave!

@intrepidphotos Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Sometimes, if only for a moment, time seems to stand still. It’s amazing to think that 91% of the iceberg is hidden under the water. Iceberg floating of the coast of South East Alaska. It’s a single hand held exposure taken from a moving boat.

I've submitted photos from here before but I keep going back and rediscovering more. This is Stone Town, the old city on the island of Zanzibar. There are beautiful colonial buildings and stone streets on the ground level and boats of all kinds and sizes along the coast. And getting to a rooftop like I did can give you a view of both the city and the port.

What a vibrant colors! I love it.

A small oasis we camped at in the Great Sand Sea. The Great Sand Sea is a subset of the Sahara that covers a remote 72,000 km² sand desert region in North Africa stretching between western Egypt and eastern Libya. This whole area is now off limits due to security issues in Libya and trafficking across the border.

I love your work so much @intrepidphotos! Every time I see a post I'm impressed! Looks like you've been so many amazing places!

Thanks. I appreciate the support and very kind sentiment. The world is an amazing place; I just try and to get around and document what I see !!

Shot at the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, Egypt.

Temple also known as the Djeser-Djeseru ("Holy of Holies"), is an ancient funerary shrine in Upper Egypt. Built for the Eighteenth dynasty Pharaoh Hatshepsut, it is located beneath the cliffs at Deir el Bahari, on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings. The mortuary temple is dedicated to the sun deity Amun

This time pretty unusual point of view emphasizing the Horus statue located in front of the temple itself

Enjoy the scenery :)

This is maybe the most photographed rock on La Digue. It looks like the back of an ancient animal in the sand of Anse Source D'Argent. It was really peaceful there in the evening when most of the day visitors left and people went off for dinner. If you don't fear the huge crabs that roam the beach and rocks after sunset, it's worth to stay :-)

Stunning image, thank you for sharing. Tomas

Beautiful, changing, full of color, calm, loving, violent, red, soft, stubborn, unbearable, protective, sexy, hard, proud, cuddly, green, endearing, hard, comforting, mysterious, black, dreamy, inspiring, welcoming, and more than anything, it's mine!

Great entry, thank you for sharing. The winner announcement will be coming later on today so stay tuned. Tomas

Harenna forest at Katcha clearing. In the south of Ethiopia lies the Bale Mountains, Africa's largest high altitude mountain Platue, but as you drop down the southern slopes you find yourself in a magnificent rainforest. I was lucky enough to spend a month in this magical place while hunting for a new species of Viper.

Awesome place. Thanks for sharing this view with us!

Your welcome! ;)

Thank you so much for your entry! Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on.

I took this photo at sunrise over the River Nile, Uganda. I had just got my first view of the Nile the evening before, and it was my first time witnessing the way the molten sun set the river on fire. The fishermen were just pushing out their boats and the birds were all swooping down for breakfast. I enjoyed the morning so much I wrote about it here.

Wow, what a color! Thank you for sharing this great image with us. Tomas

This is my first time in Africa. Like most of the people, first thing that i was excited was about the African Safari's.
I landed in Johannesburg,South Africa and went to Kruger National Park.
I was lucky enough to capture this picture, it made my one of the dreams come to true.

After doing the safari, i had one question
Who made Lazy Lions the king of Jungle, I would vote for this charismatic species.

What a great entry! Thank you so much for sharing. Tomas

I was able to capture this amazing portrait while gorilla trekking in Uganda. Being able to observe them up close was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had.

Absolutely stunning photos!

A flock of barracuda is a continuous steel stream. Thousands of fish move next to you in the water column. It is difficult to understand where one fish ends and another begins. A long exposure is yet the best way to convey this effect to a photograph. At least I have not thought up anything better yet)

wow, it's a nice pictures!! ;)

South Africa is wonderful! With amazing views looking over the ocean, I awoke each morning to a brilliant and beautiful landscape at my doorstep. The country is perfect for outdoor sports as well. I like to look at this photo, which brings together everything I love about the country, and listen to Ben Howard - Old Pine at the same time. Oh sweet memories!

I have the best time watching sunsets. I took this shot two days ago in Badagry, Nigeria. This is a very strategically placed town, and was used by slave traders to get the slaves to the unknown world. This beach is near the famed point of no return.

HERE IS MY ENTRY

For their 50 year marriage, we gave my parents in law a special gift. A trip to South Africa. We had a great time and it was nice to see how they enjoyed. Especially my father in law who had worked in a zoo for years. This picture was taken by him. Unfortunately he died, but this picture always reminds me of him.

Thank you for your entry. I am sorry to hear of your loss.

However, for your next entries kindly use only your personal photos. Thank you kindly. Tomas

There is a photo of kids in South African Republic in SOWETO area. We were there to get impression of how they are living. When we meet these kids we gave them some sweets and they were really grateful and happy for this little thing. In the background you can see, where they are living. It was magnificent experience, which opens your eyes a bit and makes you think…

PS: This Heineken was not from us, I promise 😄

Jamaa el Fna

A square and a night market in Marrakesh, located inside the medina quarter, the old city. This photo was taken from the roof of Le Grand Balcon du Café Glacier. We were able to get a table with a great view of the market and it was wonderful to just keep looking at the hustle and bustle of the market.

Maasai Mara Reserve, Tanzania. It is famous for it's abnormal popuation of Zebras, Lions, Giraffes and other beautiful animals. All the members of the Big Five i.e Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhinoceros, and Buffalo, are found in Maasai Mara. It is a place to be when you are in Africa. Spotted this lions having a good time, like a newly wedded couple.

This is Co Thach beach in Binh Thuan Province, Viet Nam. Beach has a pristine beauty, yellow sands and colourful stones. The beach is covered with small stones in various colours and shapes, pushed to the shore for thousands of years. The stony surface – about 1km long and 200-300m wide. Co Thach also has giant rocks with different shapes and legends

Tozeur Oasis

Tozeur is the largest oasis in Tunisia. The temperature on the day of this picture was 49°C! There are a few waterfalls on this oasis, which was great to cool down a bit.

This picture was taken in Okavango Delta in the year 2006. We did a walking safari on the Delta, where we found a group of elephants feeding in a palm grove. We could see that they threw the coconuts hitting the palms with their heads. There was a time when the elephants were disturbed and we had to walk out at a fast pace.
