- Translation Overview
I keep traslating some files in Main Game. The more I translated the more experience I got. For example:
[Ahoi!|Sail ho!|Aarrrrr|Murky waters await us.]
I tried to find out on the internet the meaning of words Ahoi!|Sail ho! but didn't find it anywhere. I asked my LM @Carlpei and he said it's used when going to sea by the fishermen.
I feel very excited and fortunate to translate this project. It helps me to understand the terminology used in the game. For me this is an interesting piece of information about Western culture.
[Tres bien!|My meals will help you stay focused on your expedition.|I rarely burn food. Not since the accident.|I rarely burn food.|You are not a vegetarian, are you?|I'm just saying that I will only cook vegan.|If you won't appreciate my food then eat something else.|Respect my cooking or dine on your belt instead.]
"Burn food" ( làm cháy đồ ăn) is the words I learned from this part.
[Chocolate again?|Yeah why not, I can eat some more chocolate.|If we must.|I’ll turn into a piece of chocolate!|Really?|This is not suitable for my blood sugar.]
For my knowledge, Yea why not expresses excitement. But it's wrong. @Carlpei said that it's showing pessimism, being forced to do something. It is great to be able to open up your knowledge through translation
[It's alive!|It's moving!|The mummy is attacking!]
My feeling is also very scary like watching a horror film. I like being with the characters in this adventurous adventure.
[Great, now we're being stalked by dead people.|Just when I thought it could not get any worse.]
At first I translated
[Tuyệt vời, giờ đây chúng ta đang bị những người chết ám.|Tôi đã nghĩ rằng có thể tình hình sẽ không tệ hơn nữa.]
But then I thought again and realized that the sentence I translated didn't match the meaning of the original version. The meaning of it is to refer to the deadlock, depressed when falling into very bad circumstances. The sentence I translated didn't express the mood there.
So I changed
“[Hay thật đấy, giờ chúng ta đang bị những người chết ám.|Tôi thấy không còn hoàn cảnh nào có thể tệ hơn hoàn cảnh này của chúng ta.]
